About The Author

“I think there are two kinds of TRUE THINGS-- true things that ARE, and true things that ARE NOT, but MIGHT be.”― L.M. MontgomeryThe Story Girl

Greetings and Salutations, welcome to my blog.

This is a blog dedicated to the written word in nearly any and every form.  I plan to explore the literary world of imagination through poetry and prose, I hope to have posts about my favorite books, and words, words and more words.  I hope you are ready for the adventure, because it could be a wild ride.

I am Janelle Spiers, a high school student in the luscious state of Tennessee, formerly from Colorado. I am a reader, a writer, a dreamer, and a musician.  I wouldn't be the same person I am today if J.R.R. Tolkien never wrote about a Hobbit, or if C.S. Lewis never wrote about a little girl named Lucy Pevensie, or if L.M. Alcott never told a story about eight cousins, etc., etc.

Would you like to know a secret, dear reader? I want to be a published authoress someday, and I am writing like a madwoman to secure that dream. See, I told you I am a dreamer.

I teach piano lessons and tickle the ivories of my shiny, black Kawai.  Music and words go so well together, because one without the other is sorrowful.  That's what poetry is: Words sung to invisible notes.

So, dear friend, take my hand, if you will, and join me on a journey to far off lands, heart-throbbing poems, and jigsaw-puzzle words.  I would be honored if you subscribed to my blog.  Let's go!  Off to Neverland!  For Narnia!

“Keep reading. It's one of the most marvelous adventures that anyone can have.” ― Lloyd Alexander
